Ready to Get Started?
You Own Your Business
In states where Corporate Practice of Medicine laws exist, it’s mandatory for non-physicians to partner their managed service organization with a physician-owned PLLC or PC to operate legally. At Guardian Medical Direction, we offer a network of PLLCs and PCs to help businesses comply with legal requirements and avoid regulatory hurdles. Our expert guidance and support enable businesses to focus on providing quality care to patients while fully owning their business. We do not structure partnerships in a way that involves any ownership of our clients’ businesses.
Additional Compliance Support
In addition to legal structures, Guardian Medical Direction offers a range of services and support to help businesses navigate the complex legal and regulatory landscape in each state. We have partnered with legal firms and individual attorneys to offer our clients legal resources and best practices to get their businesses operating compliantly from the start. We also provide assistance with licensing, credentialing, and continuing education tracking to more robustly support our client’s compliance needs.
Legal and Operational Support
Guardian Medical Direction understands the challenges healthcare businesses face and is committed to providing the legal and operational support they need to succeed while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and patient care. Whether you’re a startup or an established business, our extensive network of PLLCs and PCs provides the legal structure and support you need to grow your business in a safe and compliant manner. Contact Guardian Medical Direction today to achieve your goals. Legal compliance is critical, and we’re here to help.
Frequently Asked Questions – Legal Structure and Compliance
What states do you operate in?
We are currently operating in all 50 states and even internationally.
Does my medical director/collaborator have to own part of my business?
No! There are multiple ways to make sure that you fully own your business. We will work with you and your attorney and our directors to make sure that you don’t have to give up part of your business.
What if I have legal questions?
We have plenty of templates, guidelines, and protocols that we share with all our clients. Our compliance and legal team are always working hard to help provide us with the right information to share with you, but we are not a legal service. We always advise that you have your own attorney work with you and us to make sure that your business is structured correctly. We will give you the tools and resources you need to help get answers to your questions, and we have amazing legal teams and attorneys that we have partnered with that we can refer you to as well!
Can you provide oversight for clinics in corporate practice of medicine states?
Yes, we have an internal structure to be able to support clients in CPOM states. In many states, Corporate Practice of Medicine (CPOM) regulations require that a non-physician who wants to enter the business of healthcare must contract with a physician-owned PLLC to do so. Because of this, Guardian has structured PLLCs in every state that are physician owned and meet all compliance and regulatory requirements. Our clients will fully own their own business (the Managed Service Organization or MSO) and will sign a Managed Service Agreement (MSA) with our state-specific PLLC. We will then also assign a medical director or collaborator who will serve as the oversight for the business and practice.
